Most of the album was produced by Paul Samwell-Smith. Some of the earlier cassette versions of the album had the album title Flowers in Our Hair printed on both sides of the tape, instead of All About Eve. Caught on tape between the first album and 1989's Scarlet and Other Stories, Eve puts on a solid show, losing none of their power in the transition from studio to stage. The production, however, leaves something to be desired it sounds as if someone wanted the CD to resemble a radio broadcast. Unfortunate, but it can be overlooked.
