Slime and Reason - Roots Manuva. Лента с персональными рекомендациями и музыкальными новинками, радио, подборки на любой вкус, удобное управление своей коллекцией. Slime & Reason is the sixth studio album of original material by Roots Manuva. It was released on 1 September 2008 on the Big Dada label. Hip Hop Connection magazine named it Album Of The Year 2008. In 2009 it was awarded a silver certification from the Independent Music Companies Association which indicated sales of at least 30,000 copies throughout Europe. Roots Manuva released his 6th studio album on Big Dada records in 2008. Rodey Smith, aka Roots Manuva, has been a pioneer in the U. hip-hop scene for more than a decade, and SLIME & REASON finds him keeping step with of-the-moment contemporaries like the Streets and Dizzee Rascal, while tapping into something more laid back, musical, and global in its influence. Kick Up Ya Foot could be lifted from a mid-90s Busta Rhymes session, but its kept grounded with Manuvas Guru-esque, mega-chill flow. Roots Manuva - Slime & Reason 2008. To favorites 1 Download album. Roots Manuva Slime & Reason Review. Released 2008. Of course another reason for the hiatus has been Smith's not-so-private battles with his own demons. Those worried that his flow has by indulgence will be relieved at the first play of this many-sided album. Jauntily bringing a hefty slice of Studio One deep end and dancehall smarts to the opener Over And Over, it seems like Roots has had time to lighten up as well. That's not to say that he doesn't address personal issues. It's Me Oh Lord details his struggles trying to preach the gospels of truth and light. Slime And Reason by Roots Manuva. Released 1st September 2008 on Big Dada. Rodney Smith aka Roots Manuva returns with his fourth full album, and the mans voice and musical vision sounds as fresh as ever on this marvellous, freewheeling summation of his career so far. Manuvas own productions range from the skanking carnival anthem 'Again & Again', through the melancholy funk of '. the electro-Bach rhythms of 'Kick Up Ya Foot', the lof-fi Gospel of 'A Mans Talk', the roots stylings of 'The Show Must Go On' and the analog-synth attack of. Its Me Oh Lord'
