The only real excuses are that both Godfrey and Stewart were spending an awful lot of time working on other projects, Godfrey was in ill health, and it was the latter eighties. By now the band had dropped the indefinite article (The) from their name and were going under the name Enid, before metamorphosing into the short-lived Come September. The two tracks here are essentially the same, both being versions of the track which had originally been used on the last - at that time - Enid album, "Salome" of 1986. There's an almost dance track backing going on here, but I have to admit that I really prefer the B side here, even though it's shorter and minus much of the vocals from the A side. The vocals are interesting as they are not from either of the two usual sources where the band was concerned - Robert John Godfrey and Stephen Stewart - but from new band member Kes. It's moving in a very different direction to what the old band had been producing but it was not to last.
